I had 4 overripe bananas and was looking for a great banana bread recipe with as few ingredients as possible, since dropping by the supermarket isn’t an option right now. I found it on Food.com. Here it is:

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 bananas, smashed with fork (3 bananas are fine if that's all you have)
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease loaf pan. 

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and bananas and mix well.

Sift flour, baking soda, and salt into wet ingredients. Mix only until combined.

Pour into pan and bake for 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted into middle of loaf comes out clean.
