Happy Thanksgiving, friends. I’m currently on a break from the Thanksgiving cookfest, so I just wanted to write a quick post to show you how to turn your harvest table leftovers into beautiful arrangements that’ll last for another several days. Mine lasted an entire week.
What to do with all those mandarins? Well, the obvious answer is eat them, but while you’re waiting for all of them to be consumed, they look lovely together in a fruit bowl. I love the contrast between this modern, white Alessi bowl and the organic and bright fruits. I placed it on my counter, but this could be a lovely centerpiece in your breakfast nook or on your kitchen table.
I had a ton of ornamental cabbage left after I cleared the table, so I made two small arrangements. Since the stems were cut short for the table arrangement, I used a small cement planter (about 8″ deep) and a decorative bowl from Target for them. In the larger of the two, I initially added the berry stems from the table, but I actually kind of prefer the look of it just being all cabbage flower.
That’s it. Off to check on the stuffing. Happy Thanksgiving!
