Friday Fashion Finds: H&M Girl Picks

by Michelle

So, I sometimes feel guilty that my son’s clothes aren’t as cute as my daughter’s, but boys clothes just aren’t. I think I may have overcompensated to assuage said guilt, because I was cleaning out their drawers recently and my son is fully stocked and my daughter’s casual options are basically nonexistent in her current size.

The good news? It’s shopping time! As you may know if you’ve follow me on the ‘gram or visit The Style Commune regularly, I don’t believe in spending a lot on kids’ styles. Luckily, H&M has a ton of really cute stuff at reasonable prices that they can wear all summer and then will then take them in to early fall.

Here are my picks:

I’m legitimately obsessed with these pull-on pants. They come in a gazillion patterns and colors and are $9.99. $9.99! She can wear them with sandals now and then with a crisp white sneaker in the fall and be the most stylish mini on the jungle gym (or, you know, sitting at your kitchen table as you homeschool her, because that seems more likely).

I’m also really into these cute alternatives to the boring t-shirt. Some of these have matching bottoms (I’ve linked to them too) for a sweet monochromic look.

These little jersey dresses have forever been a favorite of my daughter and mine. They hit just at the knee and are incredibly comfortable. She wears with little shorts for modesty now that she’s a little older and will wear them with her Native sneakers and climb everywhere in them. These are my favorite patterns currently available but they’re $4.99 so get a bunch. She can continue wearing in the fall with a bomber or denim jacket until mid-October.

Speaking of bomber jackets, these are adorable. I got the first one for my daughter:

It ain’t summer without shorts. Here are a few REALLY cute pairs. Note that these are selling super fast — I had picked 3 other shorts to join these and they sold out overnight.

And, finally, shoes. My daughter had those floral flatbed sandal last year and we lost them on a trip to Newport and she was crushed (yes, she is her mother’s daughter), so I’ll be replacing them this summer. I also found those cool batik espadrilles in the boys section but both my kids want them. If you want leather sandals, those leopard ones are adorable.

Finally, this headband and blouse situation is just super cute and I love everything about it so I’m sharing it. Unfortunately, this headband sold out between yesterday and today, but I found it in a blue stripe that is just as cute (also selling out fast so get on it if you want).

Alright, that’s it for me, friends. I hope you enjoyed my summer/early fall finds for your little girl.
